Paul Gallaher is a photojournalist living in San Diego, California. He is currently a photo editor and staff photographer at theĀ Village News.

Paul holds a liberal arts degree in Mathematics from Whittier College. During his undergraduate studies he served as a staff photographer, photo editor and finally managing editor for the student-run Quaker Campus newspaper. He also regularly contributed to the school’s alumni magazine, The Rock, and covered sporting events for the athletics department.

Paul has also completed freelance assignments for various other publications, including The Californian and the North County Times daily newspapers.

Paul is a senior member of SportsShooter.com. While a student, he took first place in the website’s April 2007 “Week’s Work” contest. He was also awarded the Sportsman’s Award at the prestigious Sports Shooter Academy IV workshop in Irvine, California. Staff member Crystal Chatham wrote that he “impressed The Academy faculty and staff with his work ethic and positive outlook while shooting events and during editing/critique sessions.”

Provided that they do not conflict with his current employment, Paul Gallaher is available for freelance assignments in Southern California.
